AMC WINTER DAY RETREAT Sunday, Feb. 19 at 11:00 am in the AMC basement (NO Sunday school.)  For lunch please bring potluck and dessert, enough for your family and to share.  Plans (if weather permitting) are skating/hockey/broomball/cross country skiing on the Buffalo Creek at Andrea and Karey Hildebrand’s house.  Those of you who are not interested in outdoor events crokinole and board games will be set up in the AMC basement.  Everyone is welcomed back to AMC for faspa and family entertainment. 
Love is…Had we gone on the retreat, the plan was to ask individuals to prepare an item to share in the Sunday morning worship service on the theme of Love.  (It was just February 14th after all)  There is no reason why we can’t still do this for our day retreat worship service!  So for next week, please come ready to share something about Love.  It can be a poem, a song, a skit, art or a craft; anything that you would like to share with us that will help us worship around the theme of Love.  To help with the retreat feel, worship will be in the basement starting at 11:00 am.  Love to see you there!

Prayer and Praise
Congratulation’s to Chris Regehr and Carolyn on their upcoming wedding next weekend.  Proud parents from AMC are Dave and Hildie.  May God bless you with joy and love as you covenant together and celebrate your love.         
     Pray for Leroy and Marge as Leroy’s treatments are ongoing at BTHC. 
     Let’s continue to pray for Bernie (Dale’s dad) as they await further direction regarding his health.      
     Pray for our conference leaders. MC Manitoba Executive Director – Ken Warkentin.  MC Canada General Secretary – Willard Metzger.
     Let’s remember to pray for our older members at home, Eva Falk and Tina Rempel.
      Please pray for Phil and Julie Bender our MC Canada Witness mission partners in China.
     Mennonite Church Manitoba is praying for… Steinbach Mennonite Church received resignations of two pastors, Gary Martens and Ewald Goetz, effective next summer.  Please keep SMC in your prayers.
     Mennonite Church Canada is praying for… Mennonite Church Canada is cooperating with the Burkina Mennonite Church and the Evangelical Community of Congo to develop and implement Entrepreneurship Seminars. These seminars equip youth, women’s groups and others with entrepreneurial skills that will create jobs with steady incomes, allowing them to assist their churches financially.  Pray that these workshops will build self-sufficiency and growth.

The winter issue of Leader magazine seems to have been misplaced.  If you
have access to the magazine would you please return to Pastor Dan. 
The MC Manitoba Gathering (formerly Annual Delegate Session) will be held on February 24-25, 2012 at Home Street Mennonite Church and Westgate Mennonite Collegiate.  The theme is Being and Faithful Church with Willard Metzger, Executive Director of Mennonite Church Canada as guest speaker.  Delegates are needed.  Talk to Dan or call Vicki if you are interested. 

Coffee’s On – Wednesday and Thursday at 10:00 am the coffee is on at church.  Come by for some caffeine and conversation.
All committee secretaries, please remember to forward the minutes of your meetings to Vicki Kehler for distribution.

Auxiliary:  We have three issues of Timbrel to share.  These can be found
on the library bookshelf in the lobby.  Please read and return.

The Sunday School children will be collecting non-perishable food items for the Rhineland Area Food Bank during our worship service on the first Sunday of each month.  Please remember to donate!

From the Anniversary Planning Committee:
a) We are inviting individuals to shoot some videos or take pictures of AMC events that we could include in an anniversary video.  Digital photos and footage would be ideal, but other pictures can be used as well.  If you are interested, please talk to Rudy Krahn;
b)If you have pictures or videos of past events at AMC (retreats, programs, picnics, concerts, curling, etc) please talk to or forward them to Rudy Krahn or Dave Regehr. 

AMC Auxiliary will meet on Feb. 20 at 7:00 pm (sharp) at The Barn that Harms Built for a movie night!  The movie will be The Help.  You are to bring $5.00/person and your own beverage, a snack will be provided.  For the younger lades (gr. 5 and up) please bring a floor pillow.  

Coffee, scripture and discussion group will meet Tuesday morning at 10:30 am.  Please read the scripture below to prepare for discussion.
